Since successfully obtaining approval for the post - doctoral research station in November 2020, relevant personnel of the enterprise technology center of Humon Smelting Co., Ltd. have actively prepared for the recruitment of doctors to enter the station. Through various channels, they finally successfully recruited Dr. Ma Baozhong from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. This is the second doctor to successfully enter the company's post - doctoral research station, following Dr. Wang Qingwei in 2017.

Dr. Ma Baozhong studied at Central South University, the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Kunming University of Science and Technology successively. He has served as an associate professor at the Metallurgical Research and Design Institute of the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a visiting professor at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. With excellent professional qualities, he has published more than 90 papers so far, with more than 70 papers indexed by SCI/EI. He has applied for more than 80 patents and obtained more than 50 authorized patents, showing a high level of scientific research and academic achievements.

The entry of Dr. Ma Baozhong into the station will jointly address the major problem of serious environmental pollution caused by solid/hazardous waste in China's copper recycling and smelting industry and lead the development direction of the treatment and resource utilization of copper/aluminum recycling ash internationally.
